Ashes to be a walk over
July 13th 2006 08:51
Just when the Poms thought they were on top of the world, they already find themselves to be the distinct underdogs in the upcoming Ashes series in Australia in November. With so many key players suffering injuries in the recent months including Flintoff, Jones, Trescothick, Hoggard and Pieterson and with opener Michael Vaughan already out of the picture, the Poms are merely training for a caning, and for the Ashes to rightly return to its owner, Australia. And just you wait, when the Poms lose 5-0, I put my bottom dollar on the fact they got whipped because of 'injuries'. Tough luck England, it's nice to know that your side lacks depth. I'd like to see how their lacklustre pace attacks handles a fit Pakistani outfit - a side the Australians cleaned up not long ago.
Sure I may be biased, but hey, I just want to make things interesting...
