China to play cricket?

If you thought dominating the world in economics, military power, population density, intelligence, diving, and table tennis was enough, think again. Recently revealed are the Chinese's plan to take the cricket world by storm. Not that that's a bad thing (the more cricket playing nations the better). In order to bolster it's popularity in the nation, the established Chinese Cricket Association has implemented a development plan which aims to have 30,000 players, 600 coaches and 600 umpires by the end of 2007, and a staggering 150,000 players by 2020.

Most people know when the Chinese say they're gonna do something, they'll do it and most probably do it good. So I'm not surprised we'll see a Chinese squad rise to the international stage in the not too distant future - Bangladesh watch out...
