India too good at home
April 6th 2006 12:08
If all cricket was played in India, India would own the world. Unfortunately for them, it isn't. It's great that they smashed the Poms, but you have to say... what use is a side when you can't win when you play away from home?
Surely it's something India need to improve on, and with the World Cup coming up will it just be a repeat of last World Cup where Australia scored 350 odd in the final to thrash the Indians?
With one of the biggest populations in the world, there's no excuse to say that they don't have the talent to produce an ultimate team... Maybe the next generation may be the answer? We've already seen how fantastic their youngens played at home... but can they turn up with the goods playing away from home?
India better hope so.
