McGrath lines up his 'bunnies'
August 2nd 2006 08:50
If you thought Glenn McGrath was out of the thick of things, think again. McGrath has already come out with his ritual 'naming of the bunnies', exclaiming that 'there's no use naming one [bunny], these days you name two or three. You always name the captain'. So with new skipper Andrew Strauss already nominated, who else could there be? Not surprisingly it is inexperienced, yet talented batsman Alastair Cook who has already shown what he can do on his first test series back at home, but will he succumb to the pressure of the arena away from home and to the wrath of the 'Pidgeon'? Only time will tell I guess, but Australians must happy to see McGrath is definitely confident and amped up for the 'very spoken about' Ashes series.
